Abstract
This research briefing discusses how AI foundation models can automate cryo-EM structure determination by learning reusable particle-image representations and transferring them to downstream processing tasks. It frames Cryo-IEF as an example of how pretrained models can reduce manual decision-making in cryo-EM workflows, connect particle analysis with reconstruction, and support more robust and scalable structural-biology pipelines.
